This is done through efficient management of business operations aligned with voice of customer and quality function deployment. The role of operations management is to support day-to-day business to achieve strategic objectives. Projects, on the other hand, are temporary endeavours to create unique product, service, result or capability. Even temporary in duration, projects can create enormous value when aligned with organizations  strategy and customer needs. When properly identified, planned and executed, projects can serve multiple business purposes and provide competitive advantage to the business. Reasons of launching a project could include satisfying market demand, organizations internal need, customer requirement, technological advancement and legal or environmental requirement. Successful execution and completion of such projects depend on appropriate application of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project activities, also known as project management. Sometimes projects are managed together in a program or portfolio to obtain benefits not available managing them separately. In any case, learning and application of project management processes and relevant tools and techniques are the key to success.
