Project Management Process Structure

Here’s the basic structure of Project Management Processes. Inputs and Outputs are not included for all process. Review the individual Knowledge Area posts for more detail structure of Inputs, Outputs, Tools and Techniques. PMBOK Guide represents all project management processes and their possible connections. In real life all processes may not exist, they overlap and may not follow any particular sequence. Some cases they form loops, for example, Quality Management Plan is an Input to Identify Risk, Output of Identify Risk is Risk Register which is an Input to Plan Quality Management.
